Part no.: S120
• Body Diameter: 40mm
• Sensor Mounting: M18 or 3/4" UNF threadTarget tube flanges available
• Available in any measurement angle from 0-5mm to 0-800mm
• Sealed to IP68 350bar, 3500msw, 5000psi(combined hydraulic and water pressure)
The 350bar S120 is a submersible version of the P100 cylinder sensor with a larger electronics housing and wet mate high pressure connector. The S120 is sealed for a maximum of 350bar combined hydraulic and water pressure. The unit is compact, space-efficient and responsive along almost its entire length.
Like all Positek sensors, the S120 provides a linear output proportional to displacement. Each sensor is supplied with the output calibrated to the travel required by the customer, our standard range covers any measurement range from 0-5mm to 0-800mm. As with all of our packaged sensors full EMC protection is built in.
The sensor is very robust, the body andtarget tube are made of 316 stainless steel for long service life and environmental resistance.
Overall performance, repeatability and stability are outstanding over a wide temperature range. The sensor is easy to install with M18 or 3/4″” UNF mounting thread options. The target tube can be supplied plain or with a variety of flanges. The S120 also offers a wide range of electrical options.
This sensor is waterproof for submersion to 3500 meters (350bar) combined water and hydraulic pressure.

Torque Measurement with Angle Sensors
As collaborative robots expand into manufacturing environments the issue of safe motion continues to be a concern. Current design approaches involve adding force sensors, torque sensors, and sometimes proximity sensors. These adders along with more complex software control algorithms mitigate most of the concerns and result in slower operation. Unfortunately, these additional sensors also add significant cost and complexity.
Spinal surgery robot with advanced robotic guided technologies supports high requirements of predictable surgical procedures.

What semiconductors, snacking and gambling all have in common: Encoders!
There has been a lot of talk lately around the global ‘chip’ shortage. Even social media last month was filled with cartoons of engineers asking Santa for semiconductors for Christmas. Rotary encoders such as the DS-130 by Netzer Precision are an important part of this ‘chip’ production. Accuracies exceeding 0.004 degrees, 21 bit resolution and a 90mm ID ensure that component placement can be done accurately and consistently.
